NGLP

The Next Generation Leadership Programme (NGLP) is a leadership development initiative designed to strengthen leadership capacity within the Catholic Church and its affiliated institutions in Africa. The programme focuses on developing ethical, competent, and service-oriented leaders who can effectively contribute to the growth and sustainability of church-based organizations and communities. Through academic support, leadership training, and mentorship, NGLP equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to address social, organizational, and developmental challenges in their respective institutions.

NGLP operates in several African countries, including Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, and collaborates with selected universities to provide academic and professional training. Participants—often priests, religious sisters, brothers, and lay leaders working in church institutions—receive opportunities to pursue higher education while also participating in specialized leadership courses. By combining education with values-based leadership formation, the programme aims to prepare the next generation of leaders who can serve both the Church and society with integrity, accountability, and a strong commitment to community development.
